Family Connection coordinates Afterschool Learning Clubs at Cheston and Paxinosa Schools. These programs build knowledge and unleash the imagination through academic enrichment activities.
The programs are open to students in grades 3-5 who are referred by their teachers. Through hands-on educational activities and individualized attention, after school learning clubs help students meet state standards for core academic subjects.
Many community partners contribute their time to provide unique and specialized activities for students and families. Volunteer tutors come to us from the general community, Lafayette College & Easton Area High School!
Program activities include small group instruction, homework help and snack/dinner. Other features are:
- Enrichment which can include reading to therapy dogs, music, science, technology, art, careers and more!
- Character building lessons and activities
